Rams Franchise Tag CB Trumaine Johnson

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com, the Los Angeles Rams have placed the franchise tag on cornerback Trumaine Johnson.

With today’s franchise tag, Rams CB Trumaine Johnson is now scheduled to be NFL’s highest-paid CB at $16 million.

Rams tag CB Trumaine Johnson for $16.7 million and 1 year. Still possible to sign him to long-term contract.

Johnson is a former third round pick of the Rams back in the 2012 NFL Draft. He has spent his entire career with the club.
Last season Johnson played and started in 14 games. He recorded one interception and 57 tackles. This is the second year in a row the Rams have used the tag on Johnson.
