Quick Records 46th Career Shutout, Kings Win 4-0

The Los Angeles Kings used a big effort from Jonathan Quick as they beat the Montreal Canadiens 4-0 on Thursday night. Los Angeles improves to 8-1-1 on the season with the win.
The offense got started in the first period when Adrian Kempe scored a first-period goal that was assisted by Derek Forbort. Less than 20 seconds later Tyler Toffoli scored a slap shot goal that gave Los Angeles the 2-0 lead.
In the second period, Anze Kopitar scored a wrist shot goal. His goal was assisted by Jake Muzzin and the Kings increased their lead to 3-0.
Kurtis MacDermid capped things off with a wrist shot goal in the final period. His goal was assisted by Drew Doughty and Kempe and Los Angeles went on to win 4-0.
Quick made 40 saves on the night to record his 46th career shutout. Carey Price recorded 24 saves on the night and had a 86% save percentage.
Los Angeles will continue their road trip on Saturday night when they take on the Boston Bruins.
