Preview: Los Angeles Kings vs. New Jersey Devils
- Updated: March 12, 2016
Tonight at 7:30, the Los Angeles Kings will take on the New Jersey Devils and the Kings are coming off of a two game win-streak.
The Devils are coming off a win against the San Jose Sharks. The Devils sport a 32-29-7 record while the LA Kings sit a 40-22-4 clip.
The Devils have only won 1 of their last four games. Backup goaltender Keith Kinkaid will get the start after making 30 saves in their win against the Sharks. The Devils starting goal tender, Cory Schneider, has a sprained right knee which happened March 4 against the Dallas Stars . He is expected to be out for another week.
The last time these two teams played each other, Joseph Blandisi scored on a power-play goal which gave them the 1-0 win over the Kings.
It look as though Coach Sutter will be keeping Jeff Carter at wing for tonight’s game. The following is a snippet from the Kings official website:
“Jeff has probably played more good wing in his career than he has center. When we got Jeff, we didn’t get Jeff to play center. We got him to play with Mike Richards.”
Let’s hope this matchup will give us a better result than that in February! Fans can still buy tickets tonight’s contest here.
