Preview: Clippers Host Pelicans

(via @SLAMonline)

Two teams that have had early season struggles will meet tonight to play each other in Los Angeles.

Although the stars of each team, Anthony Davis and Blake Griffin, are putting up big numbers, the team chemistries are still taking them off track.

The Pelicans look to be in a better position than the Clipper, however, as they seem to be on the up. New Orleans will be looking for their fourth straight win. The Clippers on the other hand…

Alvin Gentry is starting to see it al coming together, “It’s been a long time coming really. I think we’re getting healthy and we’re starting to figure it out a little bit.”

Blake Griffin isn’t feeling so confident. He openly admitted to the media that he’s not liking what’s going on.

“We should be better than this. It’s frustrating. It’s hard to pinpoint and say exactly what to do. We’ve got to stay together and not get too down.”

The bench only put up 16 points in their loss to the Jazz on Wednesday. Jamal Crawford was held to just 3 points.

“We are at our best when we have a balanced attack and we didn’t do that,” Crawford said. “We didn’t do our job.”

NBA.com mentioned an interesting stat. The Clippers are 0-4 when Crawford doesn’t score in the double digits. And that’s exactly what has happened in their past three games.

An optimistic stat for the Clippers? The Pelicans have lost five straight road games to LA. Let’s hope the team makes that six.

You can watch the game tonight at 7:30 pm.
