The Los Angeles Lakers will play at home tonight as they take on the Portland Trail Blazers. The Lakers will be without Jeremy Lin, and Nick Young, Carlos Boozer, and Wayne Ellington. For the Trail Blazers, they will be without Dorell Wright.
The Lakers are back to losing following a defeat from the New Orleans Pelicans. Another loss tonight would tie them with their franchise record that was set last year. NBA.com reports Jeremy Lin saying the following to the media:
“We need to be much better, ” guard Jeremy Lin said after watching the Pelicans shoot 56.4 percent. “We have to do much better in terms of all the little things, we just kind of got away from it. … We just have to keep doing what we’re supposed to do.”
Although tough to watch the team lose so frequently, Jordan Clarkson is proving to be a bright spark for the team. LA have lost 19 of 21 home games against Western Conference opponents.
As for Portland, they are on a four game winning streak in LA and are about to sweep the Lakers series for the first time in 21 years.
Let’s see what we can do boys!
