Portland Trail Blazers Vs. Los Angeles Lakers Start Time, Preview, TV
- Updated: January 11, 2015
The Portland Trail Blazers will travel to Los Angeles to take on the Lakers tonight. These teams faced off against each other on Monday night with the Blazers coming out on top 98-94.
Kobe Bryant did not play against the Blazers on Monday or against the Magic on Friday and is a gametime decision for tonight’s game. In Bryant’s absence the Lakers struggled to close the game out as they lost a close one.
Weber State guard Damian Lillard scored 39 points for the Blazers to seal the win. Meyers Leonard had a double-double off the bench, and LaMarcus Aldridge scored 21 points last time out.
Jordan Hill recorded a double-double as well as he scored 23 points and grabbed 14 rebounds. The Lakers are coming off their biggest win in terms of margin of the year over the Orlando Magic.
Jeremy Lin scored 18 points off the bench, and a big surprise was the strong play of Tarik Black. Black scored 14 points and grabbed 9 rebounds in just 17 minutes.
The Blazers enter tonight’s game with a 29-8 record and currently sit second in the Western Conference standings. They lead the league in rebounds per game and fewest points allowed. In order for the Lakers to have a chance they will need to limit the Blazers second chance opportunities as well as move the ball.
Tonight will be a challenge for the Lakers but let’s hope they use the energy after the win over the Magic tonight and get the victory.
