The Los Angeles Clippers will return home tonight and play host to the Portland Trail Blazers. The Clippers are coming off of a win against the Minnesota Timberwolves and they are going for their fourth straight win!
The Clippers will have to continue to play without Blake Griffin who could be back as soon as Sunday. This means putting more of the pressure on Chris Paul to move the team forward offensively and DeAndre Jordan to push the other team defensively.
Since the absence of Griffin, Paul has averaged 21.2 points while shooting 52.2 percent and adding 12.6 assists to help Los Angeles to a 7-3 record and remain only a half-game behind the Trail Blazers for fourth place in the Western Conference.
ESPN.com reports the following on the Timberwolves:
“Lillard is 8 of 16 from beyond the arc over his last three games after going 12 for 65 (18.5 percent) during a 4-5 stretch. His 34.4 3-point percentage is his lowest in three seasons.
“I feel good. I’ve been feeling good but shots weren’t falling and things weren’t going our way as a team. So it was a little rough,” Lillard said. “But now it does feel like things are starting to turn around.”
The Trail Blazers (39-19) are 15-3 when he scores at least 24.
