Pillow fight, Austin Rivers?
- Updated: October 30, 2015
It seems as though Austin Rivers just wanted to relive some childhood memories during the Los Angeles Clippers season opener against Sacramento.
During the fourth quarter of the Clippers win, Austin Rivers was noticeably frustrated and threw a seat cushion over his head which hit a fan in the eye. The fan reportedly experienced some discomfort in her eye and the NBA has since fined Rivers $25,000.
“It was not my intention to hurt any fan. No fan should go to the game and have to worry about something hitting them in the face,” Rivers said.
Despite Austin Rivers apologizing immediately, his father and coach, Doc Rivers was considerably disappointed in his son’s antics.
“I’m so disappointed as a parent,” Doc Rivers laughed prior to the team’s game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Rivers and the bench responded to a sub-par start to the season with a better display against an undermanned Mavericks side as the Clippers started the season with back to back wins.
I don’t know about you, Austin, but pillow fight buy-ins don’t usually cost that much.
