Phillies Hire Gabe Kapler Next Manager

According to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports, the Philadelphia Phillies have hired Los Angeles Dodgers front office member Gabe Kapler as their next manager.

As a player, Kapler spent time with numerous teams in the. majors. Most notably he was part of the 2004 World Series Champion Boston Red Sox team. Kapler retired for a short period of time and became the manager of the Red Sox Single-A Team for one season. He then returned to baseball as a player as fought for a roster spot with the Milwaukee Brewers.
In November of 2014, Kapler was named the Director of Player Development for the Dodgers where he has spent the last three years. Congratulations to Gabe Kapler!
