The San Diego Chargers may have played their final game in San Diego on Sunday. For fans who have been coming to games since the team was founded in 1961 it is an emotional time.
For Philip Rivers who has been on the team his entire career and has called this place home reality set in. Click here for the link to the video.
There has been plenty of rumors and speculation that the team will move to Los Angeles. There has been no doubt that the rumors and poor play haven’t helped the team’s moral in the locker room.
There is no excuse for the Chargers down year but at least if that was indeed the final game at Qualcomm Stadium it least it resulted in a win.
Rivers was emotional throughout the game. Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune reported that Rivers was choked up during the Malcom Floyd montage.
