Perry Lifts Ducks In Shootout

The Anaheim Ducks used a shootout goal by Corey Perry to lift them over the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 on Sunday night. With the win, the Ducks have won four out of their last five games.
The offense got started in the first period when Ondrej Kase opened up the scoring with a slapshot goal. His goal was assisted by Nick Ritchie. Later in the period, Derek Grant scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Andrew Cogliano to push the lead to 2-0.
Jeff Skinner got the Hurricanes on the board late in the period with a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Justin Williams and Derek Ryan. At the end of the first Anaheim help a 2-1 advantage.
It was all Carolina in the second period. Jordan Staal scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted Sebastian Aho, Elias Lindholm. Justin Faulk followed with a slap shot goal that was assisted by Teuvo Teravainen and Williams. Carolina led 3-2 after the second period.
Jakob Silfverberg scored the game-tying slap shot goal that was assisted by Andrew Cogliano and Hampus Lindholm and Anaheim was able to force overtime.
Perry scored the game-winner in the shootout to lift Anaheim to victory.
