Paul George scored 7 points in the last 1:11 of the game last night to lift the Pacers over the Los Angeles Lakers 89-87. With the loss Los Angeles’ record falls to 11-43.
Kobe Bryant struggled from the floor and ended up with 19 points on the night to go with 5 rebounds. Julius Randle who was struggling with ankle injury was not slowed at all. He had 15 points and 19 rebounds.
Lou Williams reached double figures with 13 points and Jordan Clarkson chipped in 16. D’Angelo Russell reached double figures off the bench with 16 points.
For Indy George ended up with 21 points and 9 rebounds. George Hill had 15 points to go along with 6 rebounds. Myles Turner had a double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds. Ian Mahaini reached double figures with 11 points.
Los Angeles continue to struggling shooting the basketball. They shot just 31% from the floor and 23% from behind the arch. Indy wasn’t much better but it’s going to be tough to win a ball game shooting 31% from the field.
Due to the poor shooting both teams had just 13 assists. The Lakers did force the Pacers into 16 turnovers which is something to be positive about.
Up next for the Lakers is LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night.
