Padres Trade Ryan Schimpf To Rays

According to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union-Tribune, the San Diego Padres have traded Ryan Schimpf to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for minor league infielder Deion Tansel.
The Padres announced the trade for Mitchell and Headley. They also traded Ryan Schimpf to Tampa Bay for infielder Deion Tansel.

Schimpf is a former fifth-round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2009 MLB Draft. He has spent the last two years in the majors with the Padres appearing in 142 games. Last year with the club he hit .158 with 14 home runs and 25 RBI’s.
