Padres Trade Fernando Rodney

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today the San Diego Padres have traded closer Fernando Rodney to the Miami Marlins.
The #Marlins, buyers instead of sellers this year, going for it with acquisition of Fernando Rodney for minor-league pitcher Chris Paddack.

The San Diego Padres have struggled out of the gate this year and are looking to move their assets for prospects in order to rebuild. The club dealt James Shields earlier this year and there are rumors that Wil Myers might be available as well.
