Passan reported more information on the trade.
A number of evaluators are bullish on Edward Olivares, the OF San Diego acquired for Yangervis Solarte. One thinks the Padres might have MLB’s best farm system. “And if not,” he said, “it’s not far behind the White Sox and Braves’. They’re gonna be good sooner than people think.”

Dennis Lin of the San Diego Tribune reported information on the trade.
Can confirm the Padres’ full return for Yangervis Solarte: Edward Olivares and relief prospect Jared Carkuff.

Lin reported the information.
To be clear, the Solarte trade already opened a roster spot. Rondon’s DFA opens another. Sounds like the Padres will announce another official addition soon. Possibly Kazuhisa Makita.
