Padres to Introduce Manny Machado on Friday

After issuing out the largest contract in the history of professional sports, the Padres will celebrate in style on Friday. Manny Machado will undergo a pair of physicals for the Padres on Thursday. Machado already met with Padres officials on Wednesday. The Padres will hold their press conference with Manny Machado on Friday morning.

Manny Machado is scheduled to be introduced as a San Diego Padre at 9:30 a.m. tomorrow Arizona time.

Machado is a four-time all-star and a two-time gold glove winner. San Diego needed a player of his caliber. The Padres could have one of the most dominant infields for years to come. This move does not make them a World Series contender. However, San Diego does have the number one ranked farm system in baseball. Combine the prospects and the free agent signings, and the Padres will have a serious recipe for success in the near future.
