Padres Squeeze Past Rockies 4-3

The San Diego Padres used a 9th inning bunt to beat the Colorado Rockies 4-3. With the win San Diego snapped a 5 game losing streak.
For San Diego Jhoulys Chacin got the start. He pitched 4.1 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 4 as he was awarded a no decision.
On the other side Jon Gray got the start. He pitched 5 innings allowing 2 and 0 runs. He walked 1 and struck out 7 as he picked up a no decision.
The offense got started in the 4th inning when Gerardo Parra hit a RBI single that brought in Carlos Gonzalez. Trevor Story followed with a 2-run double that brought in Nolan Arenando and Parra and the Rockies led 3-0.
In the 6th inning Yangervis Solarte hit a solo home run. Hector Sanchez hit a 2-run single in the 8th inning that brought in Carlos Asuaje and Wil Myers.
Austin Hedges reached on a fielding error by Greg Holland that brought in Matt Szcur, and Brad Hand came on in the 9th inning and picked u his 18th save of the year.
