Padres Sign Trevor Cahill

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the San Diego Padres have signed right handed pitcher Trevor Cahill to a one-year deal.

Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune also reported the news.
Trevor Cahill passed his physical. His one-year, $1.75 million deal with the Padres is official.

Cahill is a former second round pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 2006 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the A’s, Arizona Diamondbacks, Atlanta Braves, and Chicago Cubs throughout his career.
He was named to the All-Star in 2010 with the A’s and won the World Series with the Chicago Cubs last season. With the Cubs Cahill appeared in 50 games and posted a 2.74 ERA.
