Janssen is a former fourth round pick of the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2004 MLB draft. He spent 8 years with the Blue Jays before joining the Washington Nationals last season.
With the Nationals he went 2-5 record with a 4.95 ERA. He appeared in 48 games pitching in 40 innings and struck out 27 batters.
He will start in the minors and depending on how he does in spring training could have a chance to make the opening day roster in the bigs.
