Padres Shut Down Trevor Cahill 10-14 Days

According to Dennis Lin of the San Diego Union Tribune, the San Diego Padres have shut down starting pitcher Trevor Cahill 10-14 days.
Green said an MRI didn’t reveal any structural issues in Trevor Cahill‘s shoulder. He’ll be shut down 10-14 days before resuming throwing.

Lin reported further information about the Cahill injury.

Cahill is a former second round pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 2006 MLB Draft. So far this season with the Padres he has pitched in 7 games and has posted a 3-2 record. He also sports a 3.27 ERA in 41.1 innings of work.
