San Diego has not spent a ton of money this offseason so far and it looks as if they are interested in other low risk high reward players.
Peavy is a former 15th round pick of the Padres in 1999. He spent 8 of his 15 years with the Padres winning a Cy Young award in the process. Last season he spent up North with the San Francisco Giants.
Fister is a former 7th round pick of the Seattle Mariners in the 2006 MLB Draft. Fister has spent time with the Mariners, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals, and Houston Astros.
Weaver on the other hand has spent his entire career with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. He is a three time All-Star but has had his share of struggles over the last few years.
