Padres Looking To Move Derek Norris?

@Indians_FZ

According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports the San Diego Padres are looking to move catcher Derek Norris before the trade deadline.

Norris is a former fourth round pick of the Washington Nationals back in the 2007 MLB Draft. He spent the first three years of his career with the Oakland Athletics before joining the Padres in 2015.

In 2014 with the A’s he made the All-Star team when he hit a career high .270. So far this season Norris has struggled from behind the plate with his average but is on pace to hit a career high in home runs.

It’s no secret that the Padres are in a all-out rebuild and are looking to sell their assets at the trade deadline. Reports have surfaced that the organization is confident in Austin Hedges to take over the starting catcher duties to replace Norris if they are able to move him.
