Padres Get Shutout By Brewers 1-0

The San Diego Padres recorded just three hits and got shutout by the Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night 1-0. The loss ended a three game winning streak.

Christian Friedrich got the start for the Padres. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 1 run. He walked 6 and struck out 4 as he picked up his first loss of the year.

On the other side Junior Guerra got the start for Milwaukee. He pitched 6 innings allowing 2 hits and no runs. He walked 2 and struck out 4 and he picked up his second win of the year.

The only run of the game came in the first inning. Chris Carter hit a sacrifice fly to center field that brought in Domingo Santana and Jonathan Villar was thrown out at third.

Jeremy Jeffries came on in the 9th inning for the Brewers and shut the club down. He picked up his 9th save of the year and the Brewers beat San Diego 1-0.

These two teams will be back at tonight at 4:10 p.m. PST.
