Padres Fall To Reds 7-2

The San Diego Padres fell to the Cincinnati Reds 7-2 on Saturday night. San Diego has now lost two in a row.

For the Padres Robbie Erlin got the start. He pitched just 3 innings allowing 8 hits and 7 runs. He picked up his sixth loss of the year.

On the other side, Matt Harvey got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 4 hits and 2 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 10 as he picked up his seventh win of the year.

The offense got started in the second inning when Brandon Dion hit an RBI single to left field that brought in Eugenio Suarez. Billy Hamilton followed with a sacrifice fly that brought in Curt Casali, and Scott Schebler added an RBI single of his own.

Joey Votto capped off the inning with a grand slam that put the Padres down 7-0.

Eric Hosmer hit a two-run shot of his own in the 4th inning that brought in Hunter Renfroe, and San Diego fell by a score of 7-2.
