Padres Extend Wil Myers

According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports, the San Diego Padres have signed first basemen Wil Myers to a six-year extension.

Myers is a former third round pick of the Kansas City Royals in the 2009 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the Tampa Bay Rays and Padres throughout his career.
Myers won the rookie of the year award in 2013 and was named to his first All-Star team last season. Last season with the Padres Myers hit .259 with a career high 28 home runs.
