Padres Extend Andy Green

According to AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, the San Diego Padres have extended manager Andy Green to a 3-year deal.
Andy Green had one year remaining on his contract after this year. The Padres extended it three further seasons through 2021.

Green began his career in the Minors where he won the Pioneer League Championship in 2012. He went on to become the third base coach of the Arizona Diamondbacks before getting the nod to be the Padres skipper.
In 2016 with the Padres Green held a 68-94 record. So far this season they club is 51-66. Green has slowly began to turn the club around and many people believe he will be the skipper for a longtime to come.
