Padres End Diamondbacks Win Streak, Win 10-6

The San Diego Padres ended the Arizona Diamondbacks 13-game win streak with a 10-6 victory. San Diego has now won 2 in a row.

Jordan Lyles got the start for the Padres. He pitched 5 innings allowing 6 hits. He allowed 4 runs and 0 walks. He struck out 6 batters and picked up his 1st win of the year.

On the other side Patrick Corbin got the start. He pitched 4.1 innings allowing 11 hit and 8 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 3 as he picked up his 12th loss of the year.

The offense got started in the 4th inning when Lyles hit a 2-run single that brought in Jabari Blash and Eric Aybar. Manuel Margot followed with a 2-run triple that bought in Austin Hedges and Lyles. Jose Pirela added to the inning with a 2-run single that brought in Margot and Carlos Asuaje.

In the 5th inning Yagervis Solarte hit a RBI double that brought in Wil Myers. Aybar reached on a fielders choice that brought in Solarte and the Padres led 8-0.

Arizona got on the board in the bottom half of the inning. Reymond Fuentes hit his 3rd homer of the year, a 2-run shot that brought in Chris Herrmann.

In the 6th inning Jake Lamb hit a RBI single that brought in Ketel Marte. J.D. Martinez followed with a 2-run home run. Brandon Drury hit a RBI double that brought in Daniel Descalso and the Padres held a 8-6 advantage.

Margot hit a 2-run single in the 7th inning that pushed the lead to 10-6 as San Diego went on to win.
