If the Padres DFAing Hector Olivera marks the end of his big league career, he will have hit .245/.296/.378 and made $2.08 million per game.

Bob Nightengale of USA today also reported the news.
Hector Olivera designated for assignment by #Padres. No one will touch him. Huge mistake by #Dodgers to sign him, #Braves to trade for him

Olivera was signed by the Dodgers last season and was eventually traded to the Atlanta Braves in the trade deadline deal. He appeared in just 30 total games for the Padres and he hit .245.
Olivera has been a disappointment to say the least in the league and will try to get on the right track in the minors. As more information surfaces on the Padres we will keep you up to date.
