Padres Blank Rockies 6-0

The San Diego Padres blanked the Colorado Rockies 6-0 on Wednesday. With the win the Padres have won two out of their last three games.
For San Diego Zach Lee got the start. He pitched 5.1 innings allowing 2 hits and 4 walks while striking out 3. He was awarded his first win of the year.
On the other side Kyle Freeland got the start. He pitched 4.2 innings allowing 8 hits and 6 runs. He walked 3 and struckout 2 while also allowing a homerun. Freeland picked up his first loss of the year.
The offense got started in the first inning for the Padres. Wil Myers started things off with a RBI double to right field that brought in Manuel Margot. Yangervis Solarte followed with a a RBI single that brought Myers in. Ryan Schimpf capped off the inning with a two run shot and the Padres led 4-o after 1.
Hunter Renfore hit a RBI single in the 5th inning that pushed the lead to 5-0. Schimpf followed with a sacrifice fly that added to the lead and the Padres went on to win 6-0.
San Diego will have an off day today before taking on the Atlanta Braves in Atlanta on Friday night. Jhoulys Chacin is scheduled to square off Julio Teheran.
