Padres Blank Giants 5-0

The San Diego Padres blanked the San Francisco Giants 5-0 on Wednesday night. For San Diego they have won 2 in a row.
Travis Wood got the start for the Padres. He pitched 4.1 innings, allowing 6 hits and 0 runs. He walked 4 and struck out 1 and picked up a no decision for his efforts.
On the other side Ty Blach got the start. He pitched 5.2 innings allowing 5 hits and 3 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 1 as he picked up his 11th loss of the year.
The offense got started in the 3rd inning for San Diego. Wood hit a a solo shot that put them on the board 1-0. It was Jose Pirela that hit a solo homer in the 6th inning to push the lead to 2-0. Wil Myers scored on a wild pitch later in the inning. Austin Hedges hit a RBI single that brought in Jabari Blash.
In the 8th inning Blash hit a RBI single and Padres went on to win by a score of 5-0.
San Diego will have the day off before hosting the Los Angles Dodgers on Friday night. Clayton Kershaw and Dinelson Lamet are the projected starters.
