Padres Beat Reds 7-3

The San Diego Padres used a strong outing from Luis Perdomo and beat the Cincinnati Reds by a score of 7-3 on Tuesday night. San Diego snapped their two game losing streak with the win.

Perdomo pitched 6 innings allowing 7 hits and 2 runs. He walked 4 and struck out 7 and picked up his 6th win of the year.

On the other side Sal Romano got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 9 hits and 5 runs. He walked 2 and struck out 2 and picked up his 4th loss of the year.

The offense got started in the 1st inning when Yangervis Solarte grounded out to second and drove in Carlos Asuaje. Jose Pierla scored on a wild pitch and after the 1st the Padres held a 2-0 advantage.

In the 2nd inning Dusty Coleman hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Cory Spangenberg. This pushed the lead to 3-0. Wil Myers hit a sacrifice fly in the 5th that pushed the lead to 4-0.

Austin Hedges hit a solo homer in the 6th inning that pushed it to 5-0. Solarte hit a two-run shot in the 7th inning that gave San Diego a 7-0 advantage.

Tucker Barnhart put the Padres on the board with a three-run shot that brought in Jesse Winker and Jose Peraza and the Padres went on to win by a score of 7-3.

These two clubs will continue their series today at 4:10 p.m. PST. Travis Wood and Asher Wojciechowski are the projected starters.
