Padres beat Dodgers On Friday

Julio Urias tossed five and two-thirds innings of two-run ball vs San Diego on Friday, but it came in a losing effort.
The Dodgers struck for one in the bottom of the fourth on a two-out RBI single by Joc Pederson, but lost the lead in the sixth when Urias gave up his only two runs of the night on a two-run double by the Padres’ Derek Norris.
Joc Pederson supplied the Dodgers with their second run on a sixth inning solo shot to tie things at two apiece.
In the eighth, Yangervis Solarte took Adam Liberatore deep to break the 2-2 tie. Liberatore walked another before being pulled and two relievers later, he was charged with his second earned run.
After the Dodgers were down to their final six outs, they went in order in both the eighth and the ninth, and the Padres walked away with a two-run victory by a final score of 4-2.
Urias’s season ERA sits at 3.69 following yesterday’s tilt, and he’s becoming a nice story as we enter the final month of the regular season. Liberatore took the loss on Friday when it was all said and done. LA has a two game lead in the NL West.
