Padres Agree To Deal With Carter Capps

According to Jon Heyman of FanRags.com, the San Diego Padres have agreed to a 987.5K deal with right handed pitcher Carter Capps to avoid arbitration.

Capps is a former third round pick of the Seattle Mariners in the 2011 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the Mariners and Miami Marlins throughout his career.
Carter Capps underwent Tommy John surgery in March of 2016. San Diego is hoping to add him to their bullpen in an attempt to sure up that part of their rotation.
In 2015 Capps posted a 1-0 record with a 1.16 ERA in 30 games. FoxSports San Diego also reported the news of the Capps signing.
