Padres Acquire Dan Straily

According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, the San Diego Padres have acquired pitcher Dan Straily from the Houston Astros in exchange for Erik Kratz.

Jose de Jesus Ortiz of the Houston Chronicle also reported the news.

Straily is a former 24th round pick of the Oakland Athletics in the 2009 MLB Draft. He has spent time with the A’s, Chicago Cubs, and Houston Astros throughout his career.
Last season he posted a 0-1 record to go along with a 5.40 ERA in four games. He pitched in just 16.2 innings at the big league level last season.
