According to Pedro Moura of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles of Anaheim pitcher Nick Tropeano will undergo season ending Tommy John surgery.

Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register also reported the news.

Tropeano is a former 5th round pick of the Houston Astros in the 2011 MLB draft. He spent one year with the Astros before joining the Angels in 2015.

This year with the Halos he pitched in 13 games and posted a 3-2 record. He had a ERA of 3.56 and struck out 68 batters before dealing with some soreness in the elbow.

He landed on the disabled list in the middle of July and will most likely miss the entire 2017 season. As more information surfaces on the Angels and their injury news we will keep you up to date.
