Most recently the Los Angeles Kings lost to the Philadelphia Flyers. Here is a recap from that game:

“The Los Angeles Kings lost tonight to the Philadelphia Flyers. The game ended 2-1 in the Flyers favor.

Tonight’s victory for Philadelphia was only the 2 in 12 games as they made a conscious effort to avoid tying their worst franchise record.

For the LA Kings, the story was a different one. They were coming off their third  shutout win, in four games and second in a row and expected to get another tonight. The Kings fell behind early and struggled to recover. The opportunity to tie the game came midway through the third period when Mason abandoned a rebound following a stop to Anze Kopitar‘s 40-foot wrist shot with his glove. But Richards ended up backhanding the puck over the crossbar.”

The Los Angeles Kings were on a winning streak prior to that loss:

“Los Angeles Kings shutout the Coyotes tonight 4-0. The Kings were coming off a shutout victory against the Bruins last time out and looked to match the performance.

Dustin Brown had a big night for the reigning Stanley Cup Champions. He scored two goals and had an assist. Goalkeeper Martin Jones had 26 saves as the Kings cruised to another victory.

Alec Martinez seems to be playing well after the contract extension. He had a goal and assist as well tonight. For the Coyotes tonight’s loss is just one of many. They have lost six straight home games, something the fans hate to see.

Arizona goalkeeper Mike Smith had no answers for the Kings. He was eventually pulled from the net for David Dubnyk.”
