Most recently the Los Angeles Kings beat the Edmonton Oilers. Here is a recap from that game:

“The Los Angeles Kings rallied back to force overtime against the Edmonton Oilers tonight but fell short in the shootout 3-2. The Kings are going through a cold spell as tonight they were coming off a 2-1 loss to the Calgary Flames.

The Kings fell behind once again as the Oilers were first to score. Matt Hendricks scored the opening goal that was assisted by Derek Roy and Oscar Klefbom.

In the second period the Oilers struck again. This time Ryan Nugent-Hopkins would score off an assist by Taylor Hail. The goal would put the Kings in a 2-0 hole heading into the third period.

Drew Doughty put the Kings on the board in the third period. His wrist shot went through the net off an assist by Jeff Carter.  Jake Muzzin scored a goal in the final minutes of the third period to force overtime. His goal was assisted by Marian Gaborik and Anze Kopitar.”

The Los Angeles Kings lost to the Calgary Flames earlier this week:

“The Los Angeles Kings fell to the Calgary Flames tonight in a tightly contested battle 2-1. While the Kings were coming off a great win against their rival San Jose Sharks on Saturday tonight was not the same result.

The Flames put the Kings in a hole in the first period and that was enough to seal the win. Curtis Glencross scored a early goal that was assisted by Jiri Hudler and Sean Monahan.

A minute later they scored again that put the Kings down 2-0. This time Markus Granlund scored his fifth goal of the season that was assisted by Jiri Hudler and Johnny Gaudreau.

In the second period Tyler Toffoli scored his 12th goal of the year to trim the lead to 2-1. The goal was assisted by Dustin Brown and Trevor Lewis.”
