The Los Angeles Kings honored a very controversial player last night:

“The Los Angeles Kings traveled north to take on the rival San Jose Sharks tonight but were unable to get the win and lost 4-2. It has been a struggle for the Kings lately has they have not been able to string together strong performances.

They were coming off an overtime loss to the Flames and wanted to enter the All-Star Break with a win. The Sharks understood the Kings have been struggling and took advantage early one.

Logan Couture scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Matt Irwin and Antti Niemi that gave the Sharks a 1-0 advantage after the first period. The Sharks dominated possession and outshot the Kings 10-6.

In the second period Dustin Brown scored a beautiful wrap shot goal that was assisted by Marian Gaborik and Ane Kopitar to even the score. The Sharks answered back with a goal from Patrick Marleau that was assisted by Couture and Joe Thornton.”
