The Los Angeles Kings will take on the New York Rangers tonight  at home in LA.

This will be the first meeting in LA since June, which resulted in a double overtime goal from Alec Martinez in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup and an ultimate win!

The Kings took a hard loss to the Nashville Predators most recently. NHL.com reports the following:

“After playing five games in seven days, the Kings didn’t skate Sunday, but coach Darryl Sutter put them through full practices Monday and Wednesday, with an optional workout Tuesday. “It was good for our team,” Sutter told LAKingsInsider.com when asked about the practices. Defenseman Robyn Regehr (finger) took part in practice Wednesday, but Sutter said he’s at least a week from being able to play.”

On the other hand, the New York Rangers are on a four game road trip through California. Cam Talbot will get the opportunity to start against the Kings, which is something that was unable to happen in their June 13th meeting. NHL.com reports the following about the teams structure:

Talbot is 3-3-1 in his seven starts, but all three of his victories have been shutouts, including a 1-0 win against the Carolina Hurricanes in his most recent appearance Dec. 21. He’d like to get the same kind of help from his teammates that Lundqvist did against the Ducks; New York blocked 19 shots and pressed Anaheim into missing the net on 24 others.

Let’s use our home advantage and come out swinging with another win!
