The New Jersey Devils will take on the Los Angeles Kings at the Staples Center tonight. The Kings are coming off a solid 2-0 victory over the Leafs on Monday night.

A big piece of the win came from goalie, Martin Jones and he has earned another start tonight, as Jonathan Quick receives some well deserved rest.

On Monday night, the impressive goalie was able to have a 19 save shutout. Darryl Sutter was quick to shutdown the idea that Jones was on a “bounce back.” He told NHL.com:

“We need both our goalies to win games,” Sutter said. “We’re giving Quick here another chance to get at least six or more days between games, and you need your other goalie to win games. It’s not bounce back. They either win or you lose. If we had won the other night, then Quick would play tonight. It’s not somebody ahead of the other.”

As for the Devils, they will be without their star right wing, Jaromir Jagr. He is out with the flu. Coach Sutter had this to say about the team:

“If you look at it, they have outstanding goaltending,” Sutter said. “Both guys have really good save percentages and really good goals-against. That’s a huge part of good teams’ games and obviously their experience up front. They’ve got a lot of guys with big numbers, historically, and still have that skill set. They’re still making plays. They still hang to the puck in traffic. That’s the biggest thing I’ve seen, just knowing the experience of them.”
