New England Beat The Chargers, 41-28

The New England Patriots are just a super team. Tom Brady is a super quarterback and Bill Belichick is a super coach, it all came together in the 41-28 win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Thirteen times in the Patriots have made the conference championship game during the Brady-Belichick era, once again they are there. Rookie Sony Michel scored on three runs of 1, 14, and 5 yards and gained 129yards on the ground.

Philip Rivers did everything in his power to bring the team back,
completing 25 of 51 passes for 331 yards and 3 touchdown passes to Keenen Allen, Antonio Gates, and Virgil Green. Rivers is winless in Foxborough, 0-5 all time.

New England scored on their first four possessions of the game and took a 35-7 lead into the half. The Chargers made several mistakes including a fumble by Desmond King which led to the score by Michel before the half. The defense just did not have an answer for Brady who threw for over 300 yards for the 15th time in his playoff career.

A great season has come to an end, but the Chargers finished the season with 13-5 record. This was one of the best teams in the franchise history and the future looks very bright with a strong defense and the emergence of a few players that took a step upwards this season, this team is moving in the right direction. New England is just on another level, this is just the beginning of something special. We at CaliSports News salute the Los Angeles Chargers and their amazing season. Thank you Chargers.
