NBA Renames All-Star MVP Award After Kobe Bryant.

In his annual speech during All-Star weekend, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver made a great decision to permanently rename the All-Star MVP trophy after the late Kobe Bryant.
“There will be several other honors to come,” Silver stated before the start of the All-Star Saturday night events. Bryant made his All-Star debut back in 1988 at the age of 19, and he made 18 straight games from 1998 to 2016. Bryant won the MVP award four times in his career.
Here are some of his highlights from some of his All-Star games.
2001-02, In 30 minutes on the floor, Bryant shot 12 for 25 and 7 for 7 from the free-throw line, with 31 points.
2006-07, In 28 minutes, 13 for 24, 3 of 9 from the three-point stripe, 6 assists, 6 steals and 2 for 2 from the free-throw line, with 31 points.
2008-09, In 29 minutes, 12 of 23, 3 of 8 from three-point range, with 27 points.
2010-11, in 29 minutes, 14 of 26 from the floor, 7 of 8 from the free-throw line, 14 rebounds and 37 points.
These games made Bryant one of the most electric and exciting players to watch every time in the NBA All-Star game. This year’s game has changed the format of the game to honor Bryant and his legacy to the game.
