NBA Pacific Division Standings – Week Six
- Updated: December 25, 2014
Each week CaliSports News will present the updated list of the NBA Pacific Division standings. Going into Week 7 of the NBA the Los Angeles Clippers are sitting at number two in the standings but the Lakers are still bottom of the division. See it below:
This week the Los Angeles Lakers lost out on another player:
“Josh Smith was cut from the Pistons on Monday after Stan Van Gundy no longer needed his services. He is still trying to make the team his own after taking over this year.
The deal makes sense for the Rockets because they are able to offer more money than most other teams involved. They also still have their bi-annual exception which is likely the money Smith will receive. The Rockets also will likely start Josh Smith where he can play along side his good friend Dwight Howard.
The Rockets will look to control Josh Smith’s shooting. The Rockets will likely send the much-improved Donatas Motiejunas to the bench. No word on Terrence Jones‘ role once he can resume basketball activity.”

The Los Angeles Lakers had a killer game last night without Kobe Bryant:
“The Los Angeles Clippers managed to hold off the Indiana Pacers tonight as they beat them 102-100.
The game went down to the very last second and was a battle well fought by the Clippers.
Blake Griffin led the team in scoring, as he brought in 31 points and 16 rebounds.
Not far behind was Chris Paul. ESPN.com reports, “Chris Paul had 20 points and nine assists, helping the two-time defending Pacific Division champions win for the 11th time in 13 games.”
JJ Redick had 16 points and Jamal Crawford came through when it mattered, bringing 10 points with him.”
