NBA Pacific Division Standings – Week One

Each week CaliSports News will present the updated list of the NBA Pacific Division standings. Going into Week 2 of the NBA the Los Angeles Clippers and Lakers are sitting at the bottom of the division. See it below:
This week the Clippers lost won and won one. Here is an excerpt from their loss against Steph Curry’s Golden State Warriors .
“Stephen Curry scored 28 points and dished out 7 assists while Draymond Green chipped in a career high 24 points. The Warriors shot the ball extremely well especially from three point land. The Warriors connected on 15-25 from behind the arc, an outstanding 60%.
Klay Thompson continued his hot start to the season. He added 19 points, and Andrew Bogut put his mark on the game collecting 14 rebounds. On a side note the Warriors also shot a perfect 20-20 from the free throw line.
For the Clippers Jamal Crawford led the way in scoring off the bench. He scored 24 points included 3 three pointers. Chris Paul had a double-double and ended up with 15 points and 12 assists, but shot just 6-15 from the field.”

CaliSports News elected the NBA Lob City MVP of the game and this week we picked Blake Griffin
“Overall, the first week of the season was a good one for the Clips and the Lob City MVP would have to be given to Blake Griffin.
Griffin led the Clippers in points and in total minutes played. Against the cross-town rivals, the Lakers, Griffin would have his best game of the week totaling 39 points and would be an impressive 11-12 from the free throw line.
An honorable mention does have to go to the Clippers’ 6th man, Jamal Crawford, who would be 2nd on the team in scoring with 19 per game to go along with a 94% free throw percentage, 4 assists per game, and almost 2 steals per game. What holds Crawford back this week is a bruised rib injury that limited Crawford in one game and kept him out another.”
