- Updated: December 19, 2014
Each week CaliSports News will present the updated list of the NBA Pacific Division standings. Going into Week 6 of the NBA the Los Angeles Clippers are sitting at number two in the standings but the Lakers are still bottom of the division. See it below:
This week the Los Angeles Lakers lost out on one of the league’s biggest available stars:
“According to Marc Stein of ESPN, the Los Angeles Lakers have lost out on Rajon Rondo as the Boston Celtics make a deal with the Dallas Mavericks.
The Celtics started talks with teams such as the Sacramento Kings, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets but according to reports, the most advanced discussions have been with the Mavericks. Who, incidentally, followed each other on Twitter today.
Marc Stein reports this in regards to the Lakers:
“The Lakers recently offered the Celtics multiple draft picks — including a future first-rounder — and point guard Steve Nash, who is in the final year of a contract that pays him $9.7 million, sources told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne. Nash has been ruled out for the season with a back injury, and the majority of his salary is being paid by insurance.”

The Los Angeles Clippers had a killer game last night:
“The Los Angeles Clippers managed to hold off the Indiana Pacers tonight as they beat them 102-100.
The game went down to the very last second and was a battle well fought by the Clippers.
Blake Griffin led the team in scoring, as he brought in 31 points and 16 rebounds.
Not far behind was Chris Paul. ESPN.com reports, “Chris Paul had 20 points and nine assists, helping the two-time defending Pacific Division champions win for the 11th time in 13 games.”
JJ Redick had 16 points and Jamal Crawford came through when it mattered, bringing 10 points with him.”
