This week the Los Angeles Lakers made some changes to their roster:

“According to Baxter Holmes of ESPN.com Carlos Boozer was surpirsed by his new role as a reserve for the struggling Lakers. The Lakers suffered yet another loss on Sunday night, but the big thing was the lineup change head coach Byron Scott made.

Scott inserted Ronnie Price at the point guard for Jeremy Lin and Ed Davis at the power forward for the veteran Carlos Boozer. Boozer told ESPN.com this about the move.

“Obviously it was a surprise,” Boozer said after practice Monday. “I didn’t expect that, but if helps our team win, I’m a team player.”

Scott said that the move was nothing personal against Boozer or Lin but changes had to be made.

The move has rubbed a lot of Laker fans the wrong way, and Boozer told reports that he has asked Nick Young for advice on coming off the bench.

It’s different coming off the bench. I’ve never come off the bench my whole career,” Boozer said, adding that he approached Nick Young for advice on the adjustment. “I talked to [Young] about it, trying to stay warm on the bench, things like that. Hopefully we can start getting wins, if it works.”

Only time will tell if the new lineup will pay dividends or not but Nick Young told Arash Markazi of ESPN.com that he was still the leader of the second unit.”

The Los Angeles Clippers had a killer game last night:

“The royal family saw an NBA game tonight in Brooklyn which featured the Cleveland Cavaliers and Brooklyn Nets. If they wanted to see real NBA action, they would have made the trip to Los Angeles as the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Phoenix Suns in overtime in dramatic fashion.

Blake Griffin scored 45 points, including a game winning three in overtime to push the Clippers past the Suns 121-120. This win extended the Clippers winning streak to eight in a row.

The Clippers beat the Pelicans last time out 120-100 but tonight was drastically different. While the Suns and Clippers had already met once this season, Eric Bledsoe made his presence felt in the simplest of terms.

Bledsoe’s career night was spoiled by Griffin’s heroics but he played his heart out. Bledsoe had his first triple double of his career as he scored 27 points, dished 16 assists, and grabbed 11 rebounds in the loss.

He also had a huge defensive play, as he blocked Chris Paul’s three-point attempt at the end of regulation that would have won the Clippers the game.”
