NBA Pacific Division Standings – Week Eight
- Updated: January 9, 2015
Each week CaliSports News will present the updated list of the NBA Pacific Division standings. Going into Week 9 of the NBA the Los Angeles Clippers are sitting at number two in the standings but the Lakers are still bottom of the Pacific division. You can see where everyone ranks below:
This week the Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers played each other:
“The Los Angeles Clippers took over tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers, beating the same-city team 114-87.
Kobe Bryant returned for the Lakers tonight despite missing the previous game. He started the game with a turnover on the first possession. He also struggled with shooting. The Clippers created a lead early and held onto it tight. The Lakers were only able to get within 8 points in the first quarter.
When the second quarter started, the Lakers cut the Clippers lead to 36-29, but this didn’t last long. The Clips were able to get the lead back into double digits after J.J. Redick created a four point play and Blake Griffin was at the rim. This is where the Lakers began to fall apart as they were unable to get defensive stops and ended the half down 70-48.”
