  1. Emmanuel Mudiay 6’5 Point Guard- 18 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 5.9 APG, 1.6 SPG, FG 48%

Mudiay is the 2nd best guard in this draft. He’s clearly the fourth best player coming out the draft as well.

Mudiay has a lot of abilities to make him deserving of the fourth spot. He’s very quick and athletic, can pass, score, drive to the basket, great hands, and aggressive defensively. He can do just about everything. He’s shows great body control when he’s using that speed to blow by and finish at the rim. That’s not something young guards know how to control especially at a young age, but he can do it. He skipped college this year to play overseas. Mudiay played for the Guangdong Southern Tigers. While limited to twelve games due to an ankle injury, the only thing we can go off of was the talent he displayed during the All McDonald’s American game, and highlight reels from his games overseas. Mudiay posse’s great upside because of the abilities he already has. The fact that he’s only 19, and has all of those traits that only a couple of point guards, or shooting guards in the NBA have says wonders. He’s received high praise from past coaches, and his once to be college coach Larry Brown at SMU.

Cons: He can’t consistently shoot the ball coming off the screen because his lack of mid-range, and three ball game. He has poor shooting form, and for him being an attacker at the rim he’s shooting 57% at the free throw line, which is a major concern. Mudiay at times can force the issue with his passing and during games that would get him in a jam.
