Nate Thompson To Have Shoulder Surgery Today

According to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register Anaheim Ducks forward Nate Thompson will undergo surgery to today.
Ducks center Nate Thompson will undergo shoulder surgery tomorrow. Thompson hurt himself on 4/11 at ARI and missed first round of playoffs.

Thompson suffered the injury back in April against the Arizona Coyotes. He did not play in the first round series against the Winnipeg Jets but was able to play through the injury in the later rounds.
The official Twitter account of the Ducks confirmed the news of the surgery.
INJURY UPDATES: Nate Thompson (shoulder) will have surgery tomorrow. Ryan Getzlaf has a sports hernia but will not need surgery.

Stephens also reported that the timetable for Thompson’s return will not be known until after the surgery.
Extent of Thompson’s surgery and a timeline on recovery period won’t come until diagnosis is available.
