Mitch Kupchak Loses Daughter After Long Illness

It is with sadness that we report Mitch Kupchak’s 15 year-old daughter, Alina, has passed away.
The Los Angeles Lakers made the announcement this morning after an unspecified lengthy illness took over.
The team made this statement to the media on behalf of the general manager’s family:
“The family asks for and appreciates their privacy at this difficult time, and would like to express their gratitude for everyone’s love, support, thoughts and prayers.”
The Kupchak’s are also parents to an 18 year-old son, Maxwell.
Mitch Kupchak has been the general manager of the Los Angeles Lakers since taking over from Jerry West. He is currently in his 28th season as an executive but has been with the team since 1986 after finishing 1 10 year NBA career.
The family has not released anymore information as of yet. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family as they go through this tough time.
